Summary:

Geomet is seeking to fill the position of Bilingual Retail Scale Operator. This position is responsible for greeting retail customers, weighing, and grading material and computing accurate tickets for customer payment.

• Acts as the first point of contact for retail customers.
• Understands and follows state laws regarding recycling when dealing with customers.
• Ensures that each guest receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintain outstanding standards, product knowledge and other components of guest service.
• Maintains and updates customer files within the company-specific software, verifying customer information is accurate and complete.
• Assists with cash transaction card applications and the creation of cash transaction cards for customers.
• Provides customer guidance regarding the pricing of materials and types of materials accepted.
• Responsible for weighing and grading all retail customer material.
• Creates receiving tickets for material via company-specific software.
• Grades material / specifies commodity code to be used as it is unloaded and received.
• Accurately and efficiently completes all customer transactions and provides customer directions for payment. 
• Directs retail customers to the corresponding areas for unloading of materials.
• Communicates guest requests to management.
• Attends all company-required safety meetings.
• Maintains the work area and computer kiosk in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. 
• Assists with other tasks and projects as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

• Minimum of a high school education or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of retail experience.
• Customer Focused
• Bilingual - Spanish
• Team Player
