Software Development Engineering - Sr Professional IITITLE: Software Development Engineering - Sr Professional II
EMPLOYER: Fiserv Solutions, LLC
LOCATION: Milwaukee, WI (and various unanticipated locations throughout the US subject to authorization from management)
DUTIES: Design and architect scalable and highly available cloud solutions. Deploy, configure, and manage cloud resources including virtual machines, containers, and serverless functions. Design and implement RESTful microservices APIs for payment devices, web dashboard, and third-party applications. Design and implement payment gateway integrations that process thousands of transactions per second. Take ownership of features and components from analysis, design, development, and deployment to testing. Identify technical requirements; translate product requirements into functional, maintainable, extensible software in-line with company objectives; and assist the business team with project planning and feature development. Monitor and optimize application performance including on-prem and cloud infrastructure. Identify and resolve bottlenecks and inefficiencies and optimize queries to improve performance. Analyze and process large volumes of data, develop procedures to automate processing of data, and develop automation scripts and workflows to streamline cloud operations and resource management.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and 4 years in any job title involving experience designing and developing cloud-based applications. Prior experience must include: 4 years building and maintaining applications based on microservice architecture; Developing applications for payment processing and payouts within the financial industry; Deploying and debugging microservice based applications in AWS cloud on ECS cluster; Monitoring and troubleshooting applications on ECS running on docker images; Developing code using unit tests to ensure functionality and avoid regressions; and Developing applications using Java programming language.
